Anyone who been using a Mac for some time now would be aware of Spotlight, the search built into the Mac OS. Spotlight allows you to search for a document, software, pretty much anything on your computer and open it. All this without having to open Finder and navigate through the directories to find what you are looking for. Spotlight is pretty cool. Growl notifications for your Mac

Growl is a neat little application that handles all the notifications for your Mac. It takes all the messages being sent by the applications running on your computer and displays it in an unobtrusive manner. For example, when integrated with the Mail application it can show you a blurb of incoming mail which pops up and disappears as configured. When your computer starts getting a little slow it could be due to a number of reasons. One of them is that most of the resources on your computer are being used up. It’s usually the RAM or CPU that are being consumed. So it’s nice to be able to keep an eye on things whenever something goes wrong, or even to prevent something from going wrong. Facebook.com is one of the more popular social networking services on the Internet. Other than allowing you to make contact with friends, write to them and “poke” them every once in a while, Facebook is also a great platform to host and share your photographs. It has useful features like tagging people in your photos. I use Apple’s iPhoto application on my Mac to manage my photographs.
