At Switching to Mac, our mission is simple—to explain technology in a clear, simple, actionable way. We don’t overwhelm you with industry jargon or difficult instructions. We believe you should be able to learn what you need, take action immediately, and get on with your day.

Switching to Mac provides expert tutorials and tips on everything Apple-related, including iPhone, iPad, macOS, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and more.

Since we created the site in 2010, we’ve published thousands of articles that people have visited millions of times. We have dozens of expert writers and editors working to create how-to articles and product advice that you can trust.

Aseem Kishore is the evil genius behind AKIC. He is the sole, independent owner of the network and the company’s CEO. Aseem has been in the IT industry for over 15 years and loves nothing more than sharing his tech knowledge to others.

Aseem graduated from Emory University in Atlanta in 2002 with a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics, and started blogging in 2007.

He took a giant risk and quit his job in 2010 to become a full-time professional blogger. He also bought a house and had a kid at the same time! But with big risks, came big rewards and he never looked back.

Aseem is married to Malini, has two children, and lives in Maryland.

Ryan Dube, Editor-in-Chief

Ryan Dube has been writing about technology online since 2007 and now serves as the Editor-in-Chief for the AKIC network of sites, overseeing the publication of all our articles.

He was a writer and editor for LoveToKnow and served as Managing Editor of MakeUseOf from 2014-2017.

Ryan presented at the OSIsoft National Conference in San Francisco in 2014. He has been featured on national TV (History Channel and Canada’s Vision TV), as well as on radio and various podcasts.

Ryan attended the University of Maine at Orono, earning a Bachelor’s degree of Electrical Engineering. Over the years, he’s earned numerous certifications in automated manufacturing, as well as process data collection and analysis.

Walter Glenn is in charge of AKIC’s strategy and editorial direction. His job is to develop the longterm direction for our sites and oversee editorial best practices.

For the past several decades, Walter has worked as an editorial director, managing editor, and writer. Walter served as the editorial director for How-To-Geek and as a writer and then senior editor at Lifehacker.

An expert on topics like Windows, Office, Windows Server, computer hardware, and networking, Walter has written over 30 books for publishers like Microsoft Press, O’Reilly, and Pearson. He’s also written hundreds of technical white papers, articles, user manuals, and courseware over the years.

Walter is also a veteran of the computer industry, having worked as a computer technician, network administrator, trainer, and freelance consultant.
