Twitterlator Pro - an iPhone Twitter client

March 17, 2009 by Sukrit Dhandhania

Twitterlator Pro is a great iPhone Twitter client brought to you by the folks at Stone Design Corp. There’s so many Twitter clients for the iPhone these days that it becomes hard to choose one. Well, Twitterlator Pro is definitely one of the finest Twitter client I’ve used on the iPhone. It’s a bit expensive, costing $4.99. But it’s definitely worth it if you are a power Twitter user.

The application’s interface is nice and simple. The developers were thoughtful enough to include some color themes for you to choose from, so you don’t get bored. Twitterlator Pro also makes use of the fact that you can flip the iPhone sideways and get more options. When you flip the iPhone sideways more options kick in on the Twitterlator Pro keyboard interface like a such a button to send your current location. You can also use Twitterlator Pro’s Paste here. Very cool.

There are a number of options and settings under the settings tab. You can change settings like making links open in Safari, loading Tweets on launch, high-resolution images, and Auto-Correct. You can also choose a color theme from the settings interface.

The application supports multiple Twitter accounts, which can be very useful for power Twitter users. The interface for adding accounts is something I liked a lot in Twitterlator Pro. It’s well designed.

There are a lot more features in Twitterlator Pro, such as Advanced Search, Subgroups, and Stock info. What I like particularly like about Twitter is the simplicity of it. You get 140 characters to say what you want to. No throwing a sheep at something or fancy stuff like that. Twitterlator Pro can at times leave you feeling overwhelmed by the number of features they have packed into one application.

All in all Twitterlator Pro is a great Twitter application for the iPhone, perhaps the best out there. However, with so many features packed into it I must warn you that it is really catering to the everlasting appetite of the pro Twitter and iPhone users rather than less advanced users.
