While Safari has a standard bookmarking function, it also supports direct RSS feed folders and bookmarks. Creating a feed folder in Safari allows you to track news feeds or other webpage posts, directly from within one source. In today’s tutorial, we will review how to create feeds in the Safari web browser.
To get started, launch Safari from the dock, or by navigating Finder > Applications > Safari. With Safari open and active on screen, navigate Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks. This should switch Safari to bookmarks view.

Using the left hand side Collections list, click to select Bookmarks Bar. Next, click the + symbol, located on the bottom navbar of the Safari window. This should create a new folder named “untitled folder.”

You may now want to rename the folder to something a bit more descriptive. For example, we will be naming the folder for this demo “Switching to Mac Network,” as it will include websites from our network of websites.
Once you have created and renamed the folder, proceed to navigate to any website that you’d like to add to the folder. Once on that website, you should look for the feed view, which there is usually a link for. It may be labeled as “RSS” or “RSS Feed” or something similar. Either way, you should now be in Feed view on the website that you want to add.

Next, we simply need to bookmark the feed page to the new folder we just created. So, navigate the path Bookmarks > Add Bookmark from the top navigation bar. Select the folder from the Add Bookmark To: list and click the Add button.

That’s all there is to it. Now, you can add additional websites using the same steps. Remember, you need the feed view of the website. Now, you should have a smart feeds folder in the Safari Bookmarks Bar, containing all of your feeds. By selecting View all RSS Articles, you can keep track of all of the websites in the folder from one spot.
