Apple has recently released the Mac App Store. The Mac App Store is a new way to get apps on your Mac. The Mac App Store closely resembles the App Store on your iPhone, iPod or iPad.
In this tutorial we will be showing you how to install the Mac App Store and Mac App Store apps.
Installing The Mac App Store
Note: If you are already on Mac OSX 10.6.6, you can ignore this.
1. Look at the Apple Toolbar and click on the Apple Symbol. This is located on the lefthand side of the toolbar. Once you have clicked this, you will see a few different options. Please click on “Software Update…”

2. Once Software Update has loaded, make sure that “Mac OSX Update” is selected. Then press the “Install” button that is located on the bottom righthand corner of the window.
Note: When you install this update, your Mac will reboot.

3. Once your Mac has rebooted, look at your dock. Next to the Finder icon, you will see the Mac App Store Icon. You can click on the icon to browse the store.

Downloading Apps From The Mac App Store
1. Open the Mac App Store by launching it from your dock or by searching for it in Spotlight.

2. Once the Mac App Store has completely opened, search for an app that you would like to download. Then, click on the App’s price, and you will then be asked to verify the purchase.

3. Your app will now begin to download. You can watch the download progress in your Mac’s dock. When your app is done downloading, it will appear at the righthand side of your dock.
