If you have multiple PDF files that you would like to merge, read on. In this tutorial we will be showing you how to merge PDFs in Preview. This tutorial does not require any additional software.

Merge PDFs in Preview

1. To start, open Preview by searching for it in Spotlight or by launching it from your dock.

Open Preview

2. Once Preview has completely launched, open two PDF files of your choice. You can do this by looking at the Apple Toolbar and clicking on File. When you do this, a drop down menu will appear. From this menu, click on Open.

Open

3. Once both files are opened, a pop-up menu will appear. From here, look at the righthand side of the window. You will see a sidebar that contains the PDF files that you recently opened. Make sure that these files are expanded. To do this, hover over the PDF and click on the arrow that is located on the righthand side of the file.

Note: You only have to do this step if you are merging a PDF that has more than one page. If not, feel free to skip this step.

Sidebar

4. To merge the files, select the pages that you would like to merge and simply drag and drop them on the other PDF. Now, save this file. You have just a merged PDF file.
