If you would like to add simple annotations to your photos without any additional software, read on. In this tutorial we will be showing you how to annotate your photos in Preview. This tutorial does not require any additional software.
Annotating Pictures in Preview
1. Open Preview by launching it from your dock or by searching for it in Spotlight.
2. Once Preview has completely launched, select a picture that you would like to edit. You can do this by clicking on File, this is located on the Apple Toolbar. When you do this a drop down menu will appear. From this menu, click on Open and open the picture that you would like to annotate.
3. Look at the Apple Toolbar and click on Tools. When you do this, a drop down menu will appear. Then hover your mouse over “Annotate”. This is the 8th option from the top of the drop down menu. When you do this you will notice many different annotation options. Choose the option that you would like to use.
