Mondrianum - a color theme picker for the Mac

If you haven’t used Adobe kuler you should go check it out right away - particularly if you’re a web designer.
In a nutshell, kuler is a a web application that suggests color themes. It also has an extended community of developers who suggest color themes. Aside form being a very well designed Flash web application, it is extremely useful for designers. Mondrianum is a Mac application that plugs into your operating environment seamlessly and adds the kuler feature directly in applications like CSSEdit and Adobe Photoshop. Mondrianum is a free download and only works with Leopard and Tiger. It was a paid application until recently - now it’s free.

As you can see in the screenshot above, the interface is pretty simple. You get a long list of suggested color themes by default. You can also search for color themes using the search bar at the top. Color themes are organized by tags, so it takes a little getting used to. You can search kuler color combinations, see the highest rated, the most popular, or the most recently added themes and you can even save color themes that you like using the section at the bottom of the main window.
Mondrianum downloads themes directly from the kuler database so you need to be connected to the Internet to be able to use it.

Thanks for the tip!
