If you have a younger child that uses iTunes, read on. In this tutorial we will be showing you how to set up parental controls in iTunes. Parental controls will allow you to limit your child’s actions in iTunes. This tutorial does not require any additional software.
Configuring Parental Controls In iTunes
1. Open iTunes by launching from your dock or by searching for it in Spotlight.

2. When iTunes has completely launched, look at the Apple toolbar. Click on “iTunes”, when you do this a drop down menu will appear. Click on “Preferences”.

3. When you are in the Preferences window, click on the “Parental” tab.

4. Once you are in the parental controls tab, you will see many different options. Configure these options to your liking, then click “OK”. If you would like to lock these settings, simply click on the padlock that is located on the lower lefthand corner of the window.
