If you’re the only one who uses your Mac and listens to explicit music, you may find the “explicit” labels annoying within iTunes as these labels are meant for families who share Macs. If you would like to hide these labels from your iTunes library, you’re in luck. In this tutorial we will be showing you how to do just that. This tutorial does not require any additional software or plugins.
Hiding “Explicit” Labels In iTunes
Start by launching iTunes on your Mac. Once the application has completely launched, look towards the Apple Toolbar and click on the option labeled “iTunes”. When you do this, a drop down menu will appear. Click on the option labeled “Preferences”.
Look towards the top of the Preferences window and click on the tab labeled “Parental”. Look towards the center of the menu, you will see an option labeled “Show content ratings in library”. Uncheck this option. You have now hidden all explicit labels within your iTunes library. Thanks for reading!
