The iTunes shuffle feature is a great way to listen to music without having to pick and choose songs from your library. If for some reason you have songs in your iTunes library that you would like to be excluded from the shuffle feature, read on. This tutorial does not require any additional software.
Exclude Songs From Shuffle
1. Open iTunes by launching it from your dock or by searching for it in Spotlight.

2. Select the songs that you would like to remove from shuffle. Now, open the Items Information dialog box. You can do this by simply pressing these two keys on your Mac’s keyboard: ⌘-I. When you do this, a popup window will appear asking if you would like to modify information for multiple songs. Click on the “yes” button.

3. Look at the top of the dialog box and click on the “Options” tab. Now, look towards the bottom of the window. You will see an option labeled “Skip when shuffling”. To the right of this option, you will see a drop down menu. From this menu click on the “Yes” option. The selected songs will now be excluded from the iTunes shuffle feature.
