The iPad is an amazing device for reading eBooks, but currently the iBooks application only supports the ePub format. Most of us have eBooks in a different format such as PDF. In this tutorial we will show you how to convert your existing PDF eBooks into an iPad compatible format. We will also show you how to import your converted files into iTunes. Before we start this tutorial, make sure that you have an eBook already downloaded to your computer.
Converting Your eBook To A ePub
1. Open a web browser of your choice and navigate to http://www.epub2go.com. We will be using this website to convert our eBooks to an ePub file.

2. Once you have completely loaded www.epub2go.com, click “The PDF is on my Computer”. Once you have done this, you will see that the website wants you to upload the PDF that you would like converted.

3. Once you have uploaded the PDF to their site, the website will convert your PDF into an ePub. This may take a little while, so be patient. When the website is done converting the file, you are given two options. You can either email yourself the ePub, or download it. To add it to iBooks you will need to download the eBook to your computer, click on “View/Save On My Computer”.

Importing The ePub File Into iTunes
1. Open iTunes by searching for it in Spotlight or by launching it from your dock.

2. Once iTunes has fully opened, click “File” and “Import To Library”. When you are choosing the file to add to the library, make sure you choose the .epub file.

Actually iTunes can read PDFs naturally, just drop them in Itunes like an epub file and iBooks will have a PDF tab
