If you’re like me, you probably want to fix your own Mac hardware problems when an issues arises. While this may take a bit more time and effort than simply dropping your Mac off at a repair shop, fixing your own Mac can save you a ton of money in the end. To perform these repairs, however, you’ll need instructions on how to find and install the correct parts on your Mac. We know of three awesome sites which offer repair guides for almost any recent Mac and iOS device.
1. iFixit

iFixit is one of the most popular DIY gadget repair sites on the net. Why? They are known for their famous “tear downs” and extensive library of repair manuals. While all tutorials on iFixit are free to view, you can choose to purchase compatible parts via their website. Finally, you can also upload your own tutorials to iFixit to help their extensive library grow.
2. Other World Computing

Other World Computing is by far my favorite place to buy computer parts online. This is because they offer high quality parts at awesome prices. OWC also offers an installation videos for every part they sell, which is a big “plus” as these videos are all very professional. The installation videos are free to watch but it’s expected that you only watch the videos if you’ve purchased the part from OWC.
3. PowerBook Medic

The PowerBook Medic’s repair guide is a bit more unusual than the other two services we have shown you today. PowerBook Medic actually pays their users to make their own repair videos and upload them to their site. This seems to be working out well for PowerBook Medic, as they have tons of videos on their site which are sure to fit your needs.
