The Apple MacBook’s are well known for their battery life. But sometimes batteries can get overused and may need a repair or replacement. If your MacBook is older, the battery may be worn down. If you are curious as to how much your Mac’s battery life has depleted, we will show you how to find out in this tutorial.
Checking The Usage of Your Mac’s Battery
1. To start, click on the “Apple” button on the top left hand side of your screen. Once you are in the Apple drop-down menu, click “About This Mac”.

2. Once you click on “About This Mac’” a pop-up window will appear with specs of your Mac. When you are in this window click on “More Info”.

3. Once you click “More Info” your Mac will automatically open System Profiler. Once you are in System Profiler, you will see a sidebar on the left hand side of the window. Look under hardware and click “Power”.

3. When you are in the “Power” menu you will see many statistics of your Mac’s battery. To see how much your Mac’s battery has depleted, look under “Health Information”. From here you can see your battery’s condition, charge cycles, amperage and voltage.
You can tell if your battery is in good condition by looking at “Condition”, this will tell you, by Apple’s standards, how your battery is doing over all. If you would really like tell how much your battery has been used, look under “Charge Information” and look for your full charge capacity, or mAh. Look up what a new battery for your model of Mac can hold (in mAh) and compare it to your current battery.
