Have you ever wanted to add more features to your MacBook’s trackpad? Well, now you can with an application called “jitouch”. Jitouch is a shareware application, this means that you can try before you buy. This application adds tons of functionality to your multitouch trackpad. In this tutorial we will be showing you how to set up jitouch.
Downloading And Installing JiTouch
1. Open a web browser of your choice and go to this link.

2. Once the Jitouch downloads page has completely loaded, click on the 2.21 download. This will download Jitouch version 2.21, once the file has completely downloaded, open the file named “jitouch.prefPane”. This will install Jitouch to System Preferences.

Setting Up Jitouch
1. Open System Preferences by launching it from your dock or by searching for it in Spotlight.

2. When you are in System Preferences, look under the “Other” section. This is located on the bottom of the System Preferences window. When you are there, click on Jitouch.

3. When you are in the Jitouch menu you will notice many different options. You can set these to your liking. To configure an option, double click on a mouse movement. A drop down menu will appear. This drop down menu will let you change the mouse gesture as well as the action.

If you ever decide that you would like to restore your trackpad to it’s original settings, just press “Restore Defaults”, this is located on the bottom righthand corner of the window.
