Thanks to Mike for his effort in getting to the database to make a backup, the forums are back up. Previous logins/passwords should still work, posts should still be intact etc. Please (please!) let me know if there are any problems.
The test came back negative, I don’t have strep throat. That isn’t making it hurt any less, but I suppose it’s good news. As soon as I’m 100% (heck, even 80%) I’ll continue to re-publish old content, update the forums etc. Thanks for hanging in during this less than perfect transition
