Simple 2-Way Google Calendar and iCal Syncing

October 23, 2008 by Ross McKillop

Google recently updated their hugely popular online application Google Calendar to allow simple two-way syncing with iCal. For instructions, click here and select the Enable Google Calendar in Apple’s iCal link. You may also want to check the info in the Known Issues tab to make sure you’re aware of the current “problems” - none of which I consider big enough to not use this syncing method (as it’s far, far easier than the other “workarounds” - many of which have the same problems).

Thank you for this information. I have always used iCal to subscribe to my Google calendars and wished for the ability to do two way syncing. I immediately set this up on my computer and it works like a charm. Awesome!
