May 4, 2009 by Ross McKillop
Earlier this evening, CrossLoop launched a Mac version of their very popular secure screen sharing utility. Now that CrossLoop is available for both Macs and PCs, screen sharing has never been easier. Head over to their download page to grab your copy.
About CrossLoop
CrossLoop is a free secure screen sharing utility designed for people of all technical skill levels. CrossLoop enables non-technical users to get connected from anywhere on the Internet in seconds without changing any firewall or router settings. With CrossLoop, people can help their contacts remotely as if they were working side by side. Popular uses for CrossLoop range from technical assistance to trouble-shooting to software and application training, such as how to set up a blog or create videos online.

Another excellent free Screen Sharing utility is Skype for Mac. If you are using the new beta for Mac (Ver. 2.8+) while on a video call you can share 1 or both monitors or defined screen sections while on a call.
It works fantastically well and even if the other person doesn’t have a webcam it doesn’t matter as all Skype is doing is sending the screen as a video stream. The nice part is you have an audio conversation built in.
The Cons are it is only 1 person at a time, as Skype can’t do multiparty video (yet).
