Thanks to Mike for his effort in getting to the database to make a backup, the forums are back up. Previous logins/passwords should still work, posts should still be intact etc. Please (please!) let me know if there are any problems.
The test came back negative, I don’t have strep throat. That isn’t making it hurt any less, but I suppose it’s good news. As soon as I’m 100% (heck, even 80%) I’ll continue to re-publish old content, update the forums etc. Thanks for hanging in during this less than perfect transition ![]()

And in todays news, I probably have strep throat. The good news is I’ve found a graphic designer who is coming up w/ an excellent new logo for S2M. For now, I can be found in bed, trying to sleep this thing off.
Still working on the forums, still hopeful that all data can be restored.

Apple now sits at $159.37B which is 1.81 billion more than Googles current net worth. What’s really interesting is the fact that Apple is currently in the number 3 spot just below Microsoft and IBM. And Apple is right on IBMs heals so I can see Apple in the number two spot in the not too distant future. Read more

Do you have a MacBook or MacBook Pro? If you do then you’re in luck, give iAlertU and TheftSensor a try. Soft Launch of the new Switching To Mac
September 24, 2008 by Ross McKillop · 3 Comments
Welcome to the newly re-designed (but far, far from finished) version of Switching To Mac. As many of you know, Mike has decided to “hand over the helm” to someone, and that someone turned out to be me. So where to start.. I guess an introduction is in order. My name is Ross McKillop, and up until now my primary site has been Simple Help. Over there, I’ve done a lot of Mac tutorials, along w/ Windows, Linux and misc. other stuff. Going forward, all of my Mac focus will be directed to this site, and Simple Help will go Windows/Linux only… Read more

What to do with your old PC after Switching to a Mac?
September 24, 2008 by Ross McKillop · 11 Comments
It’s been a long time since I switched to Mac but about a year ago my mother-in-law switched back over to a Mac and so I inherited her used HP PC laptop. And until just recently it has sat lifeless on my shelf - so sad… Read more

Review by wraith2021
This is the first game review I have ever done, that is not to say I don’t play games, I have for many years, but this is one of note because this is a Mac game.
Shock! Horror! Macs don’t have games! I hear you cry. Well, they do now, and they are identical to their PC counterpart with exactly the same graphics. Read more

Using a Sony Ericsson W580i with a Mac and iSync
September 23, 2008 by Ross McKillop · 1 Comment
Many of you are probably aware of my recent decision to get an iPod Touch instead of waiting for an iPhone to come to Canada. Previously, I was using an O2 Xda mini Pocket PC based phone but unfortunately Leopard and my Pocket Mac software where not cooperating and I really wanted a phone that just worked without too much monkeying around.
